Donate to NOTES 2020 Today!

EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising event: the NOTES campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to help keep tuition affordable for EYSO members by encouraging EYSO families to collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors--and you! All contributions to the EYSO are tax deductible, as allowable by law.

This year, we are celebrating our 44th season with the theme MOVE! We have five orchestras, a brass choir, two percussion ensembles, and a chamber music program with nearly 350 students from fourth grade through college. We perform three concerts each year, and each concert explores a different connection between music and movement. You can learn more about us at EYSO.org. Music has truly opened up a multitude of experiences and opportunities for me. Beyond the physical benefits of playing music, the personal connections I have established to music are truly invaluable. One of EYSO's goals is to turn each musician into an "expert listener," a term that encompasses the musician's ability to listen to music, understand the true meaning of why the music sounds how it does, and how we can establish connections from personal experiences to musical interpretations. The connections I have established with music have positively shaped my character to reflect the virtues of musical compositions. Additionally, by gaining these skills, communicating music to others will allow other individuals to establish similar connections with music.

Yet, the very ability to hone this skill is determined by the availability of music at the EYSO. Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs. More importantly, it allows the EYSO family to extend the beauty of music beyond just the musicians.

Please consider donating to EYSO to help Youth Symphony meet its goal. More importantly, it will help benefit everyone in EYSO.
