Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you so much for your very generous donations last year. I am so very grateful for your continued support and generosity in this campaign. Last June I was again able to audition for the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra, and made it to the next level, Philharmonia. This is my fourth year of involvement in the EYSO, and I am so blessed and grateful to be apart of such an amazing organization where I am able to create beautiful music with my peers.

EYSO has done so much for me in the past years that I have been apart of it. It has helped with my auditioning skills where I have been able to get into the Illinois Music Education Association all three years of middle school and play at the festival. It has also helped me with my overall musicianship.

We are now celebrating the 44th season of EYSO with a theme of move! I have been able to play amazing pieces such as Swan Lake, Bolero, William Tell, etc. We have performed two concerts so far and for our third and final concert I have been chosen to play with a select group of my peers to play a special piece.

The effects of coronavirus are great as we try and navigate the online world as an orchestra. We now have to try and use online tools to try and connect and learn how to play together.

As I have written this letter before, the tuition cost for one student only covers about one-third of the total cost needed for each members participation in the EYSO. This Notes campaign helps keep tuition at a reasonable rate so that more and more kids are able to be apart of the magical music making. As I understand the circumstance of our world right now, I believe it is even more important to bring music to those who need it. Please consider donating to EYSO to help students be able to make music together and bring joy to the people that listen. This campaign runs through April 12th. Thank you again so much for you generosity and support.
