Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by on my webpage! My name is Eileen, and this year is my fourth season playing violin at the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO)!
Currently EYSO has been doing a fundraiser called the Notes Campaign, running through January 26 – April 5 2020. Because the EYSO is a non-profit organization, this fundraiser is a vital part of what helps the EYSO to not only train young musicians to play music, but to dig deeper into its meaning. The purpose of the campaign is to have EYSO families collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc. to help keep the tuition affordable for EYSO members. All contributions to the EYSO are tax deductible, as allowable by law.
It seems amazing to me to be able to have the privilege of being in this orchestra for my 4th year now! EYSO has played the role of many different things in my life. It has been a place where I can just have fun and enjoy music, but also something that challenges me to work hard, and an opportunity to reach people through the language of music. Every year, this program has not ceased to grow me in exciting ways, and I cannot thank EYSO enough for allowing me to be in a community that cares for the arts, grows students, and shares the joy of music to many people!

I am so blessed to be a part of EYSO, and would be so grateful if you or a friend would be willing to be a donor of this campaign. The tuition we pay only covers one third of the total cost of each member’s participation in the EYSO program. Funds are needed to keep the student fees in a reasonable range and to offset the rising program costs.
Although it just seems like any other fundraiser, the NOTES campaign means so much more to me than that. Every donation means so much to me, and I would really appreciate it if you would be willing to support this! Your donation will help me meet my goal of raising $500—more importantly, it will help support nearly 400 students, and share the joy of music to many others.
Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgement from EYSO for tax purposes. The campaign runs until April 5.
