We are fundraising to feed faculty and students during summer camp!

We have an EXCITING update! Early this Monday evening, shortly after posting this page, we learned that Nick's Pizza and Pub is sponsoring food for the WHOLE week including our celebratory end-of-camp meal! We are absolutely ELATED! A HUGE THANK YOU TO NICK'S PIZZA AND PUB!!! And A HUGE THANK YOU TO BOARD MEMBER BILL NICHOLSON for reaching out to Nick's!!!

If you would like to contribute to our new Summer Camp program, we will certainly appreciate the donations, but wanted to share the exciting news!

Please stop by Nick's to dine and thank them for supporting EYSO!

EYSO is holding its first ever Summer Chamber Music Camp. This camp is open to EYSO member and non-member string players. Camp is July 22-26 at Elgin Academy. In order to keep our faculty and teaching assistants going all week, we need to feed them! We are also hosting a celebratory meal at the end for faculty and camp students.

What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking donations to cover the cost of food, or if you're a restaurant, donate meals for the week. We are estimating $1,250 for total cost of food.

What Your Donations Will Cover

Your donations will cover:

  • Meals for faculty lunches for July 22-26
  • We have 11 faculty and 4 teaching assistants (plus 4 guest coaches on one day)
  • Celebratory dinner for faculty and students - In addition to 11 faculty and 4 teaching assistants we have about 40 students

The camp will culminate in concerts performed by camp students on July 26th at 6pm and 7:30pm at the historic Sears Gallery at Elgin Academy. Donors will be invited to intend these concerts!
