NOTES 2024: Youth Symphony
Help Youth Symphony reach their goal by making a donation! By supporting the NOTES campaign, YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE!
Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestras is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES 2024. This campaign runs from March 24 to May 5, 2024.
Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.
Now in our 48th season, EYSO serves nearly 400 students in 4th grade through college from 70 different communities via five orchestras, as well as percussion ensembles, Brass Choir and Flute Choir, and a thriving Chamber Music Institute. The mission of EYSO is to create a community of young musicians, enriching their lives and the lives of their families, schools, communities, and beyond, through the study and performance of excellent music. By supporting the NOTES campaign, you are impacting the lives of so many!
Donations of any size can make a real impact! Thank you
so much for supporting the students of EYSO.
My first experience in EYSO last year in the 2022-23 season was one of the most important events in my life. Prior to my admission to EYSO, I had never had the experience of a full orchestra. I had little to no experience with winds, brass, or percussion, and had never even seen a professional orchestra. Being in an orchestra with the kind of variety presented in EYSO truly expanded my horizons, and planted a seed in my head that has truly blossomed in the following year. The opportunities presented by EYSO including their Chamber Music Institute program has exponential increased both my technical skill and my musicianship. This year, playing some masterworks of the classical canon on two different instruments, with two ensembles, and in two different sections has truly given me an insight into how the orchestra functions. It’s allowed me to improve facets of my playing many wouldn’t see through my perspectives. EYSO has facilitated my love of music and performing, and given opportunities not present elsewhere. Please donate if you can.
