Hello my name is Matilda Karkosch,
Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO) is a program that gives us youth greater opportunities at more advanced music. This program is special to me, because it has been so much fun for me, playing and participating the past year and a half I have been in this program. Part of the enjoyment is playing more challenging music, meeting new people who have the same musical goals as me, being part of chamber music, and playing with a larger group of people. I also participate in the chamber music program EYSO offers, which I love. Each of the groups has about 3-5 people, and we have a coach to help us with our music. One of the things I like about being in a smaller group is because I learn more about my peers, as it is a bit more one-on-one than being in a large symphony. These are just some of the reasons why EYSO is so great. In order to keep tuition at a lower cost, we hold this NOTES fundraiser, sharing our story. I ask you to please consider donating to this organization, no matter the amount.
