NOTES 2024: Sinfonia Orchestra

Hi everyone,

I hope that you are all doing well. It is again the time of year during which EYSO has its annual fundraiser. Many of you have already made donations to my orchestra program in the past few years, and I so appreciate it!

In case you didn't already know about it, I wanted to tell you about my orchestra! For a little context, the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra serves nearly 400 students in 4th grade through college from 70 different communities via five orchestras, as well as percussion ensembles, Brass Choir and Flute Choir, and a thriving Chamber Music Institute. The mission of EYSO is to create a community of young musicians, enriching their lives and the lives of their families, schools, communities, and beyond, through the study and performance of excellent music.

I have been a part of this program for three years, and it has truly been a rewarding experience. Violin and music are so important to me, so I am happy that I found a community that takes my musical education so seriously and with so much passion. This year, I am in the Sinfonia orchestra, and I had the amazing opportunity to be concertmaster for the second trimester! I got the chance to develop my leadership skills and to push my violin playing to the next level, I had so much fun.

EYSO is so special to me because of how much time and effort my conductors and EYSO staff put into making this program a great experience. Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestras is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES 2024. This campaign runs from March 24 to May 5, 2024. If you would like to donate to EYSO, I would really appreciate it! Your contribution would help fund EYSO's events, as well as its state of the art facility and talented conductors. Our NOTES campaign also helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.EYSO is a really efficient and professional non-profit that I love to support.
