Hello, I’m Lucas. I play the violin at Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestras in the Prelude ensemble. EYSO is running its annual fundraising campaign called NOTES. It started on March 24 and goes until May 5. The goal is to raise $56,450. EYSO families are collecting donations from friends, family, and you during NOTES. Would you or somebody you know, want to donate to EYSO?
EYSO is now in its 48th season. It allows 400 students from 4th grade to college with 5 orchestras as well as many ensembles and wind choirs. By donating to the NOTES campaign, you are allowing so many people to play an instrument.
I like EYSO because it is a great experience to play in an orchestra. It has many challenging and fun pieces to play and learn. The conductors are also really nice and funny.
Tuition only covers one third of each member’s participation in EYSO. The NOTES campaign keeps tuition low and offsets program costs. Even little donations make a huge impact!
