Hi and thank you for coming to my fundraising page!
Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO) is a fun advanced orchestra for young musicians who want to advance in skill. In my experience, it has been thrilling playing with the top Youth Symphony musicians by doing side-by-sides. The younger Primo musicians were paired with an older Youth Symphony musician for one challenging song for our first concert and we sat side-by-side during practice and the concert. Playing "Bacchanal" from Samson and Delilah by Saint-Saens has been great. Another song I learned is "Voyager" by Soon Hee Newbold. It reminds me of sailing the seven seas in a thrilling session.
There are multiple levels of EYSO including Primo, Prelude, Sinfonia, Philharmonia, and Youth Symphony, as well as ensemble groups. Each with funny, nice teachers. EYSO has greatly improved my viola skills and I am thankful for that. You can even see some of the EYSO concerts by clicking on the link below.

Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestras is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES 2024. This campaign runs from March 24 to May 5, 2024.
Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.
Now in our 48th season, EYSO serves nearly 400 students in 4th grade through college from 70 different communities via five orchestras, as well as percussion ensembles, Brass Choir and Flute Choir, and a thriving Chamber Music Institute. The mission of EYSO is to create a community of young musicians, enriching their lives and the lives of their families, schools, communities, and beyond, through the study and performance of excellent music. By supporting the NOTES campaign, you are impacting the lives of so many!
