Dear Friends and family,
As you may already know, I play the violin, and I am a proud musician in the EYSO (Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra). I have now been playing for six years, and I deeply enjoy it. I am in the symphonia orchestra, and plan to move up to the next level of the EYSO next year, to Philharmonia. Recently I played in Solo and Ensemble, which is an event at my school where you play different pieces in front of judges. It was really fun, and exciting. I got a 7 out of 7.
Some of you might know that the EYSO notes fundraiser is going on right now. It would be appreciated if you could donate to the EYSO this year. EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising event: the NOTES campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to help keep tuition affordable for EYSO members. Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs. All contributions to the EYSO are tax-deductible, as allowable by law. Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgment from EYSO for tax purposes. This year, my donation goal is $1500. The campaign runs until March 25.
It is okay if you and your family can only donate a small amount. Every dollar matters to keep the EYSO together and to keep us at EYSO playing in person.
