Hello everyone, it's me Molly Smith. This is my musical story,

I have loved playing my cello since before I knew how to play hot cross buns! I have had an excellent private teacher Dr. Kevin Price Brenner, that I call Dr. Cello. He has worked his magic with me for two years now over ZOOM. He is wonderful and talented and fun fact is that he got the chance to meet Yo-Yo MA and even got to play his cello! Learning from Dr. Price Brenner has been instrumental. Playing my cello (named Belle) by myself if fun, but noting beats playing cello with an orchestra. I have really learned so much from EYSO that I can't learn from my private teacher. EYSO has the best directors and students that are really amazing musicians. They have all pushed me to become a better musician. These people all know and love music! It has challenged me like no other experience. I am still shy, but I am working on that by playing cello in front of others. Please, Please PLEASE consider donating to this amazing organization. They need your support, because tuition only covers a third of the cost. It is expensive to teach kids music! I appreciate your continued support. Thank you friends and family.

Musically yours, Molly Smith

The EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES. This campaign runs from January 23 to March 27.

The purpose of the campaign is to help keep tuition affordable for EYSO members by encouraging EYSO families to collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors--and you! All contributions to the EYSO are tax deductible, as allowable by law.

Would you, or someone you know, be willing to donate to EYSO?

This year, we are celebrating our 46th season with the theme FLIPPED! We have five orchestras, a brass choir, two percussion ensembles, a flute choir and a chamber music program with nearly 300 students from fourth grade through college. The mission of EYSO is to create a community of young musicians, enriching their lives and the lives of their families, schools, communities, and beyond, through the study and performance of excellent music. By supporting the NOTES campaign, you are impacting the lives of so many, including myself. You can learn more about us at EYSO.org.

Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.

In addition to offsetting the cost of tuition, the generosity of people like you also helps to:

  • Provide a more diverse repertoire of music.
  • Purchase necessary resources including sheet music and instruments.
  • Allows EYSO to have a broader reach by offering innovative community programs.

Please consider donating to EYSO to help Primo meet its goal. More importantly, it will help benefit all student musicians in EYSO.

Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgement from EYSO for tax purpose. The campaign concludes on Sunday, March 27.

Thanks very much for your support!
