The EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES. This campaign runs from January 23 to March 27.
My name is August Nelson and I am part of the Prelude Orchestra in EYSO. This is my first year doing EYSO. Before EYSO I played in the Dundee Middle School Orchestra. I have played the Violin for 4 or 5 years, and I was in the school orchestra from 5th grade all the way through 8th grade. My parents have always wanted me to play the violin, and I thought it was going to be a lot easier than piano(which I played prior to 5th grade). Oh how I was wrong, I have had a lot of fun, sad, happy and frustrating times playing the violin. I am a very social person and I enjoy being able to be in an orchestra with all my friends. I will tell you, EYSO rehearsal is a lot more fun than practicing at home. Last concert was a huge success and I am excited to see what my future concerts in EYSO are like. EYSO tuition only covers 1/3 of EYSO costs. The other 2/3 comes from donations. Can you please think about donating to help fund EYSO for next year for all my peers and I.
