Hi, I’m Christina Fetterly, and I play French horn in the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Philharmonia and Brass Choir ensembles. Music has been extremely important to me for my entire life, and I intend to pursue it in college and major in composition. Last year I auditioned for EYSO and was accepted into two wonderful ensembles, the highest level ones I’ve ever performed with, in fact, and I enjoy every minute spent with them. These are the first ensembles I’ve been in where everybody cares about the music and is as passionate as I am about being there. Within the short time I’ve been with EYSO, I have particularly enjoyed learning about the history of music and its composers, and increasing my appreciation for the repertoire we get to play. Not to mention, I have also made significant progress on my instrument. In 2020, EYSO was named the top youth orchestra organization in the state of Illinois. So - if supporting young musicians is important to you, supporting EYSO is a great way to do so.

Currently, we are holding our 2022 NOTES Campaign, where we ask the important people in our lives, like you, to support our musical education through a small donation to EYSO, in order to keep tuition affordable for all of us.
