My name is Molly Smith and this is my story.

In EYSO, we get to have so much fun with what we do best, playing music together as an orchestra. It means a lot to me that these talented people are here to make this wonderful experience possible. Everyone is encouraging, and the directors are patient, so friendly, and very kind. The main thing I love about it is being challenged to practice and work hard. I do love all the many opportunity's we get to play as an orchestra, that is so fun and cool. My private teacher Dr. Kevin Price Brenner is wonderful and amazing at teaching me how to play the cello through Zoom, but EYSO is just so great because I get to play with other musicians in person. I think playing with the orchestra is fun and way better than playing cello by myself! But without my private teacher, I would never be in EYSO, SO THANK YOU Dr. Kevin Price Brenner! I am so lucky to have both my private teacher and EYSO because they both have really pushed me to become less shy, (which I'm still working on) and pushed me to become a better cello player. :) I'm just so thankful for EYSO in my life musically! In order for this amazing organization to help students like me learn and push students to become even better musicians, EYSO needs money. It costs a lot of money to run EYSO. EYSO tuition only covers around one-third of the membership cost so we need your help. Please Please PLEASE consider donating to this awesome organization, it would mean so much to me. :):):) Thank you to everyone for everything you've done to support me and thank you so so much for donating. EYSO means so much to me, thank you for showing that you care!

The EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES. This campaign runs from January 23 to March 27.

The purpose of the campaign is to help keep tuition affordable for EYSO members by encouraging EYSO families to collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors--and you! All contributions to the EYSO are tax deductible, as allowable by law.

Would you, or someone you know, be willing to donate to EYSO?

This year, we are celebrating our 46th season with the theme FLIPPED! We have five orchestras, a brass choir, two percussion ensembles, a flute choir and a chamber music program with nearly 300 students from fourth grade through college. The mission of EYSO is to create a community of young musicians, enriching their lives and the lives of their families, schools, communities, and beyond, through the study and performance of excellent music. By supporting the NOTES campaign, you are impacting the lives of so many, including myself. You can learn more about us at EYSO.org.

Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.

In addition to offsetting the cost of tuition, the generosity of people like you also helps to:

  • Provide a more diverse repertoire of music.
  • Purchase necessary resources including sheet music and instruments.
  • Allows EYSO to have a broader reach by offering innovative community programs.

Please consider donating to EYSO to help Primo meet its goal. More importantly, it will help benefit all student musicians in EYSO!!

Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgement from EYSO for tax purpose. The campaign concludes on Sunday, March 27.

Thank you so so much for your support!

And I appreciate you taking the time to read this!
