My first experience in EYSO was in March of 2021 after being encouraged to join by my private instructor. As soon as I played with the orchestra, I knew it would be a great musical experience outside of school. This year I am in the Sinfonia orchestra for the full season. The knowledgeable and friendly conductors do a great job inspiring musical excellence and show that they care about you. They interact with us and use examples to make sure we have a full understanding of our music and so we can play it at a high level. The quality of music created by all of the ensembles is extraordinary, especially considering the limited number of rehearsals before the concert. Even through the Covid pandemic, the EYSO has continued to provide opportunities for all of us to grow our musical skills and play together as an ensemble.
