Hi everyone! My name is Kennedy Buehler and this is my 7th year in EYSO, and my third year in Youth Symphony. Being in EYSO, I have been given so many incredible opportunities that I would have never gotten, had I not joined back in 6th grade. Before auditioning, I had never realized that EYSO would soon become such a huge part of my life. Not only has EYSO majorly increased my appreciation for music, but it has also made me passionate about making music. EYSO has made me the musician and person that I am today. Every Sunday I come to ECC and spend hours and hours having the opportunity to do what I love with some of my closest friends and other musicians who share the same passion for music as I do. EYSO has also given me the opportunity to play in the Maud Powell string quartet, which is an honors quartet that allows us to spread music around the community and represent EYSO. Being in this quartet has made me realize what I want to do for the rest of my life and my love for sharing music with others. Because EYSO means so much to me and has shaped my life so much, I want to share with everyone that not only is EYSO doing this for me, but they are also doing the same thing for hundreds of more kids. I hope you will consider donating to this organization, as it has done so much for our community. Every dollar is so appreciated and helps students like me continue to do what we love. The EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES. This campaign runs from January 23 to March 27.
The purpose of the campaign is to help keep tuition affordable for EYSO members by encouraging EYSO families to collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors--and you! All contributions to the EYSO are tax deductible, as allowable by law.
By supporting the NOTES campaign, you are impacting the lives of so many, including myself. You can learn more about us at EYSO.org.
Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.
In addition to offsetting the cost of tuition, the generosity of people like you also helps to:
- Provide a more diverse repertoire of music.
- Purchase necessary resources including sheet music and instruments.
- Allows EYSO to have a broader reach by offering innovative community programs.

Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgement from EYSO for tax purpose. The campaign concludes on Sunday, March 27.
