Hi! My name is Sarah Juan, and I'm a Youth Symphony member in The Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO). It's my second year being a part of this amazing community. EYSO has been a place where I can meet new people and expand my knowledge on music & the meaning behind the pieces we play. Most importantly, it's a place where I can do what I love. Being a part of a community where everyone is passionate about music has changed my whole perspective about playing in orchestra.

Going to practice every week makes me excited about having the opportunity to play amazing pieces like full symphonies!

This specific symphony was the piece that made me realize that I want to play in an orchestra for the rest of my life. EYSO gave me a new-found love for music, and I re-gained my passion for it through this organization.

*The EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising campaign: NOTES. All contributions to the EYSO are tax deductible, as allowable by law. Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs. Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgement from EYSO for tax purpose. The campaign concludes on Sunday, March 27.
