Hello! I hope you are having a fantastic day and are doing well during this time. I just wanted to thank you again if you have donated to EYSO in previous years, I really appreciate that. I am so grateful for your support of something I love to do, and I hope you will consider donating again this year. Or if you are new, I hope you will consider making a donation this year. We are now starting our NOTES 2021 campaign and I’m hoping you’ll consider making another donation this year.

This year I am in the top orchestra, Youth Symphony. I have really enjoyed playing with this group this year. It has been super fun to be back playing with a real orchestra and not just talking over zoom like we do at school. EYSO has made a safe and fun environment to continue our orchestral progress while still following all the Covid guidelines. This year following the Covid guidelines we all have to sit 6 feet apart, so we have no stand partners anymore. This has been a new challenge because it is now a lot harder to hear everyone’s part around you. This has been a fun challenge to work around and definitely something I had to get used to.

EYSO is collecting donations as part of our annual fundraising event: the NOTES campaign. This campaign runs until March 28.

The purpose of the campaign is to help keep tuition affordable for EYSO members by encouraging EYSO families to collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors--and you! All contributions to the EYSO are tax-deductible, as allowable by law.

This year, we are celebrating our 45th season with the theme Myths & Legends! We have five orchestras, a brass choir, two percussion ensembles, and a chamber music program with nearly 300 students from fourth grade through college. We perform three concerts each year, and each concert explores a different connection between music and movement. You can learn more about us at EYSO.org.

Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.

Please consider donating to EYSO to help Youth Symphony meet its goal. More importantly, it will help benefit everyone in EYSO.

Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgment from EYSO for tax purposes. The campaign runs until March 28, 2021.
