Over the past 8 years, many of you have followed my progress in Elgin Youth Orchestra Symphony. I am a sophomore in High School. I am grateful for all the years I have been with them, but perhaps most grateful for this year. When everything is shut down, rehearsals are still ongoing. When I am attending school virtually, and pretty much living in my bedroom, it was a much needed break to get out and practice. We each have our own stand and are at least 6 feet from each other, scattered in the audience of the main theatre. This year has definitely been unlike any other, making it a pretty memorable one.
All of you are familiar with the EYSO Notes campaign. Once a year, the student musicians send out handwritten "Notes'' to friends and family with hopes of getting dollar "Notes" donations in order to further play musical "Notes" with our instruments.
With everything that you may have going on, I hope you will consider a donation to EYSO, Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra. Any amount is appreciative. My personal funding goal is $150.
