The NOTES campaign is an annual EYSO fundraising event, running from January 24 to March 28, with the purpose of the campaign being to help keep tuition affordable for EYSO members by encouraging EYSO families to collect donations from friends, family, co-workers, neighbors--and you! All contributions to the EYSO are tax-deductible, as allowable by law.

This year is my first year attending EYSO, and we are celebrating our 45th season with the theme Myths & Legends! We have nearly 300 student from fourth grade through collage spread throughout five orchestras, a brass choir, two percussion ensembles, and a chamber music program. We perform three concerts each year, and each concert explores a different connection between music and movement. You can learn more about us at EYSO.org.

Tuition covers only one-third of the total cost of each member’s participation in EYSO, meaning we rely on you to help EYSO happen. Our NOTES campaign helps keep tuition reasonable and offsets program costs.

EYSO is more than just playing music, its a chance to meat new musicians, and more importantly, friends who share the same love for music as you do. I have only bean here less than a year but I feel like I have gotten to know so many nice people as well as improve my musical abilities more then I could have ever dreamed off. I have gotten exposed to extremely different music, some really fast, some really slow, some normal, some very strange, all of which helped me to become a better musician. We also get to study the music and understand the origin and importance of every part of the music, giving me a deeper understanding and knowledge of the music we play, making me appreciate the music more as I learn more from it. But EYSO means even more this year since we are all locked up in our houses we rarely get a chance to go outside, because of this EYSO is the main thing I look forward to each week as I get to meet people and play music in the same room, which is hard to do in the pandemic. All of this thanks to EYSO, but for EYSO to stay affordable we need donations from people like you.

I am happy to say that EYSO is a great program with many different skill levels for many different people, with the one thing uniting them being their love of music, and that is a strong bond.
So please consider donating, the donation doesn't need to be much, as well as spread this information to people who would be interested in donating in order to help Prelude meet its goal. More importantly, it will help benefit everyone in EYSO, by keeping this amazing program affordable.

Once the NOTES campaign is completed, you will receive a donation acknowledgment from EYSO for tax purposes. The campaign runs until March 28.

Thanks very much for your support!
